La Iglesia católica en México como institución de derecha

Abstract

Este trabajo plantea que la Iglesia católica, a lo largo de la historia de México, ha tenido una postura intransigente frente a las reformas modernizadoras. Se hace un recorrido histórico de el papel político de la Iglesia católica y una exposición de sus ataques y resistencias a los cambios tanto liberales como socialistas, ubicándose dentro de lo que se denomina derecha política. Tratando de refutar el planteamiento de que la Iglesia es un miembro del aparato ideológico burgués, se analizan los diferentes cambios que ha sufrido esa postura del clero católico hasta la actualidad llegando a enarbolar ciertos valores de la modernidad que una vez atacó como la libertad religiosa y de conciencia.

This work explains that the Catholic Church, throughout the history of Mexico, has had an intransigent position before the modernizing reforms. It takes a ride around the historical route of the political role of Catholic Church and an exhibition of her attacks and resistance to the liberal and socialist changes, being named Political Right. Trying to refute the exposition that Catholic Church is a member of the bourgeois ideological apparatus, it is analyzed the different changes that such catholic clergy position has suffered until the present time getting to hoist certain values of the modernity that once attacked as the religious and conscious freedom.
