El artículo tiene por objetivo analizar el perfil y la estructura social derivada de los itinerarios profesionales de las élites gubernamentales de Guanajuato, Estado de México y Distrito Federal, durante el período 2000-2012. Para ello se utiliza un método mixto que combina el análisis sociológico convencional y el enfoque de redes. El estudio dilucida, en primer lugar, la importancia del espacio local en la formación y el desarrollo de las élites. Permite identificar, en segundo lugar, regularidades y diferencias en los procesos de reclutamiento y desarrollo de las élites de los tres estados en estudio. Por último, por medio del análisis se infiere que la inestabilidad en el empleo puede ser interpretado, a la vez, como incertidumbre y recurso en virtud que permite a las élites locales la acumulación de un importante capital político y social.... view less

This article aims at analyzing the profile and the social structure resulting from the career itineraries of governmental elites in the states of Guanajuato, the State of Mexico, and Mexico City during the 2000-2012 period. The author applies a mixed method combining the conventional sociological analysis with a network approach. The study observes in the first place the relevance of the local space for the creation and development of elites. Secondly, it identifies the regularities and divergences in the elite recruitment and development processes in the three states under study. Finally, the analysis reveals that instability in employment may be simultaneously construed as uncertainty and an asset since it allows the local elites to gather a considerable political and social capital.... view less
