Wie können angesichts von immer weniger und immer älteren Menschen Angebotsformen aussehen, die die Daseinsvorsorge insbesondere in ländlichen Räumen sichern und somit einen Beitrag zur Herstellung der Gleichwertigkeit der Lebensverhältnisse leisten? Ist mit Blick auf die demografische Entwicklung die Sicherung einer Daseinsvorsorge in allen Landesteilen tatsächlich auf dem heutigen Niveau möglich, oder wird es künftig "abgehängte" Landesteile geben? Wer übernimmt in diesen Räumen die Verantwortung und Zuständigkeit für die Versorgung der Bevölkerung mit Gütern und Dienstleistungen des täglichen Bedarfs? Der Beitrag zeigt anhand der Themenfelder Wohnen, Nahversorgung/ Wirtschaft und Bildung Ansatzmöglichkeiten für eine zukunftsfähige Alternative zur bisherigen Praxis der Zentralisierung von Angeboten und damit deren flächenhafter Ausdünnung. In the light of shrinking and aging populations, how can public services be provided and contribute to the creation of equivalent living conditions, especially in rural areas? Despite this demographic development, is it possible to guarantee the current level of public services in all parts of the country or will the future see areas that are "left behind"? If so, who is responsible for providing populations in these areas with convenience goods and services? Focusing on housing, local supply/economy and education, this article introduces approaches that provide a viable alternative to the current practice of centralizing supply and the consequent decline of services. All developed approaches are cooperatively organised, decentralised and intensely linked in their structures.... view less
