Klimaanpassung in der räumlichen Planung in Niedersachsen: das Forschungsprojekt KLIFF-IMPLAN

Abstract

Der Forschungsverbund "Klimafolgenforschung - Szenarien für die Klimaanpassung KLIFF)" des Niedersächsischen Ministeriums für Wissenschaft und Kultur soll die wissenschaftlichen Grundlagen für die Anpassung an den Klimawandel auf lokaler und regionaler Ebene in Niedersachsen weiterentwickeln und Forschungsaktivitäten in einem interdisziplinären Ansatz zusammenführen. Um eine wirksame Implementierung der Ergebnisse des Forschungsverbunds KLIFF in die Planungspraxis und eine Umsetzung von Anpassungsmöglichkeiten zu ermöglichen, soll eine den Forschungsverbund begleitende Dialogplattform "IMPLAN" (IMplementierung von Ergebnissen aus KLIFF in der räumlichen PLANung in Niedersachsen) eingerichtet werden, in der die einzelnen Forschungsprojekte und ihre Ergebnisse mit Experten aus den Raumwissenschaften sowie der Planungspraxis hinsichtlich ihrer raumplanerischen Relevanz analysiert sowie in Zusammenarbeit mit Vertretern der Regionalplanung konkrete Anpassungsmaßnahmen erarbeitet werden.

The KLIFF research alliance for research into the consequences of climate change and scenarios for adaptation to climate change, set up by the Lower Saxony Ministry for Science and Culture (the name being based on the German term for its remit: "KLIma- FolgenForschung"), is tasked with advancing the development of the scientific foundations for adaptation to climate change at both local and regional levels in Lower Saxony, and with bringing together research activities within one interdisciplinary approach. In order to enable effective implementation at the level of planning practice of the research findings flowing from the KLIFF research alliance, and equally implementation of the opportunities identified for adaptation measures, it is planned to put in place a dialogue platform to be known as IMPLAN (from IMplementation of the KLIFF findings in spatial PLANning in Lower Saxony). Here it will be possible to analyse both the individual research projects and the findings they produce with experts from the spatial sciences and from planning practice in terms of their actual relevance for spatial planning, and, in co-operation with representatives from regional planning agencies, to frame concrete adaptation measures.
