"Conflicts on the implementation and feasibility of transnational social and political norms are not only carried out in the realm of institutionalized politics. As corporate activities are no longer regarded as politically neutral, corporations or entire industries have become targets of public demands and political protest. The article analyses conflicts between corporations and political consumers with a special focus on so-called anti-corporate campaigns. Are public pressure and corporate need for public legitimation able to foster human rights? What role does strategic communication play for governing political market arenas?"
