(Autorenreferat)... view less

'This article, in a first step, reconstructs the public discourse on corruption in Germany in the early nineties of the last century. It then points to the trust of entrepreneurs in the political system when being confronted with corruption of government officers as a theoretical und empirical variable of high interest. The article mainly presents descriptive material of a survey of restauran owners of German and foreign ethnicity, conducted in the Federal Republic of Germany in the mid nineties (N=7.900). Furthermore, the reported unexpected stability of trust even in the context of corruption is interpreted in terms of systems theory.' (author's abstract)|... view less
