Redefining Russian Nationhood in a Global Context

Abstract

This article examines the interplay between nationalism and imperialism in modern Russian nationhood from a scholarly perspective. It explores the influence of historical legacies on contemporary Russian state ideology and its impact on international relations, in particular under Putin's regime. The analysis also considers alternative national identities, such as Russian ethno-nationalism, and their implications for the future of Russia's national identity and geopolitical stance.
