Der Beitrag untersucht die jüngere deutsche Rechtsextremismusforschung mit einem diskursanalytischen Zugang und fokussiert insbesondere auf die Konjunktur der Begriffe Rechtspopulismus, Radikalisierung sowie jüngst Normalisierung. Dies wird jeweils anhand einiger empirischer Beispiele beschrieben und als Ausdruck eines generellen 'Normalismus' (post‐)industrieller Gesellschaften analysiert. Den theoretischen und methodologischen Hintergrund bilden Jürgen Links Interdiskurtheorie und seine daran orientierte Analyse des Normalismus. The article analyses recent German research on right-wing extremism using a discourse-analytical approach. It focuses in particular on the frequent use of the terms rightwing populism, radicalisation and normalisation. The article analyses recent German research on right-wing extremism using a discourse-analytical approach. It focuses in particular on the frequent use of the terms rightwing populism, radicalisation and normalisation. Each of these tendencies is described with reference to some empirical examples. After that, the whole phenomenon is analyzed as an expression of a general 'normalism' of (post-)industrial societies. The theoretical and methodological background is provided by Jürgen Link’s theory of interdiscourses and especially his analysis of normalism based on it. The article aims at raising awareness of the effects of this kind of normalist construction of the topic in social sciences.... view less
