India's supply chain is a paradox - a sprawling, chaotic network that somehow keeps a nation of 1.4 billion moving, yet groans under inefficiencies that have long begged for reform. Enter the Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFCs), a flagship infrastructure project designed to haul India's logistics into the 21st century. With two major corridors - the Eastern DFC (EDFC) from Ludhiana to Dankuni and the Western DFC (WDFC) from Dadri to Jawaharlal Nehru Port - nearing completion, and plans for three more in the works, this ambitious initiative promises faster freight, lower costs, and a greener footprint.
