Due to their economic strength, the United States, the EU and China will continue to lead economically. China is unlikely to cut economic ties with the West, and the West wants to maintain its business ties with China. Contrary to all the rhetoric, it can be assumed that China's economic agenda is more oriented towards the Global North than the Global South, and at the same time it is increasingly cooperating with developing and raw materials-producing countries in order to boost its economic model, diversify its activities and make itself less dependent on the Global North. Since the three economic centres mentioned above determine global trade, carry out the highest foreign investments worldwide and compete for technological leadership, China will possibly strive for an economic order of equal relations with the West rather than isolate itself.
