Der Beitrag untersucht die Zeitstruktur der Krisenmythen, die im Zentrum rechtsextremer und rechtspopulistischer Weltbilder stehen. Geschichte erscheint in ihnen als zunehmende Zerstörung der ewigen Substanz der eigenen Ordnung durch schicksalhafte Verfallstendenzen oder die Verschwörung dunkler Mächte. Die Gegenwart als Ausnahmezustand ist bestimmt von einer apokalyptischen Zukunftsvorstellung, in der ein Kampf zwischen Gut und Böse über Rettung oder Untergang entscheidet. Diese Erzählung wird ausgehend von der Kritischen Theorie als Ausdruck der Radikalisierungsdynamik des autoritären Subjekts interpretiert. This article examines the time structure of the myths of crisis that are at the center of right-wing extremist and right-wing populist worldviews. They perceive history as the increasing destruction of the eternal substance of the social order by fateful tendencies of decay or the conspiracy of dark forces. The present as a state of emergency is determined by an apocalyptic conception of the future, in which a struggle between good and evil decides between salvation and doom. This narrative is interpreted on the basis of critical theory as an expression of the radicalization of the authoritarian subject.
