Aber auch eine zweite Biden-Regierung wird auf ausgewogenerer Lastenteilung bestehen. Deutschland und Europa müssen die Zeit bis November nutzen: Sie sollten sich jetzt zu konkreten Handlungen verpflichten - nicht nur um Europas Sicherheit zu stärken, sondern auch als Anreiz für die USA, an ihrem militärischen Engagement in Europa festzuhalten.

The US presidential elections will be a pivotal moment for European security. Donald Trump, if reelected, could decide to drastically cut US military support to Europe. Yet a second Biden administration is also likely to insist on more equitable burden sharing.
