Judith Preissle: The Coming of Age of a Qualitative Researcher: The Impact of Qualitative Research in Education Past, Present, and Future

Abstract

Im Brennpunkt dieses Gesprächs steht die professionelle und intellektuelle Entwicklung von Judith PREISSLE. Insbesondere eingegangen wird auf ihre Ausbildung und auf die Herausforderungen, denen sie sich im Laufe ihrer akademischen Karriere hat stellen müssen. This conversation centers on the development of the thought and career of Judith PREISSLE. The conversation deals with PREISSLE's formal education and training and the challenges she faced as she embarked on an academic career. She shares her ex­periences at Georgia and the burgeoning of qual­itative research in the curriculum, and the nurturing of new students as they pursue research utilizing qualitative methods. Finally, PREISSLE shares some philosophical insights concerning qualitative research and speculates about the future.
