Thinking of the various layers within development, from its conceptual foundations and associated actions, violence appears in all of them, connected in one way or another. The relationship between violence and development has historic determinants in the concepts of progress and within colonialism, all of which determines the inevitability of violence and is essentiality in any conception of development. Al considerar los diferentes niveles en el desarrollo, desde sus bases conceptuales y sensibles a las acciones, las violencias aparecen en todos ellos, con encadenamientos en uno y otro sentido. La asociación entre violencias y desarrollo posee determinantes históricos en las ideas de progreso y en el colonialismo, lo que determina la inevitabilidad de la violencia y su esencialidad en cualquier concepción de desarrollo. Las violencias, por tanto, no son consecuencias u obstáculos al desarrollo,sino que son consustanciales a éste. Resolver las violencias implica alternativas al desarrollo.... view less
