Abstract
Im Juli 2020 geriet der Fall vom Ahmad Bassam Zaki über Social-Media-Kanäle an die Öffentlichkeit, der als Student einer Kairoer Eliteuniversität unzählige Frauen belästigt, missbraucht und vergewaltigt haben soll. Der Fall löste in Ägypten eine (Online-)Debatte um sexualisierte Gewalt aus.
In July 2020, the case of Ahmad Bassam Zaki, who is said to have harassed, abused and raped countless women as a student at an elite Cairo university, came to the public on social media channels. The case sparked a debate about and online activism against sexual violence in Egypt.
