Abstract

Wir machen eine Befragung über Teilhabe. Die Befragung heißt: Repräsentativbefragung zur Teilhabe von Menschen mit Behinderungen. Der kurze Name ist: Teilhabe-Studie. Wir befragen Menschen, die zuhause leben. Das heißt auch: Sie wohnen in einem Haushalt. Und wir befragen Bewohner von Einrichtungen. Zum Beispiel Bewohner aus Wohnheimen oder aus Altenheimen. Darum geht es: Wie gut können Menschen mit Beeinträchtigungen dabei sein und mitmachen?

The "Representative Survey on the Participation of People with Disabilities" (short: participation survey) is the largest nationwide representative survey on the participation of people with disabilities in Germany. The aim of the study is to gain information about the life situations and participation opportunities of people with disabilities or impairments in various areas of life. In an empirical comparison with people without disabilities, the specific circumstances and boundaries of the living environment of people with disabilities become apparent. The participation survey asks people in private households as well as residents in institutions of integration assistance and institutions for the elderly. The fourth interim report presents its empirically oriented concept for measuring impairment and disability under the premise of international comparability. On this basis, the report presents the first descriptive results of the extensive survey of people with and without disabilities in private households and describes the current status of the survey of residents in facilities. Findings from qualitative interviews, which have been conducted as part of the research project as well, are also included.
