Mediação, circulação e uso da informação no contexto das redes sociais

Abstract

O presente trabalho busca compreender a mediação, a circulação e uso da informação no contexto das redes sociais que utilizam as tecnologias de informação e comunicação - TICs em sua organização. Para tanto, apreende-se e constitui-se um corpo de conhecimentos teóricos e empíricos, que visa refletir sobre redes de informação sob a ótica de redes sociais e redes virtuais como objeto de estudo da Ciência da Informação. Assim sendo, elege-se como foco norteador da análise a dinâmica da informação e do conhecimento em rede no âmbito das inter-relações sociais, virtuais e da modalidade de educação a distância no Brasil como possibilidade de criação de comunidades virtuais – proposição ainda pouco explorada no campo da Ciência da Informação. Nesse sentido, investiga-se a emergência de novas relações sociais para o entendimento de redes de informação.

The present work seeks to understand the mediation, the circulation and use of the information in the context of the social networks that use the technologies of information and communication (TICs) in its organization. For in such a way, a body of theoretical and empirical knowledge is apprehended and constituted in order to reflect on information networks under the optics of social networks and virtual networks as an object of study of the Information Science. Thus, it is chosen as a focus of the analysis the dynamics of the information and of the knowledge in network in the scope of the social, virtual Inter-relations and of the modality of distance education in Brazil as a possibility of virtual communities creation - proposal still little explored in the field of the Information Science. In this direction, it is investigated the arising of new social relations for the comprehension of information networks.
