Partizipative Prozesse in einer repräsentativen Demokratie: Partizipationsansprüche von syrischen Demokratieaktivist_innen in Deutschland

Abstract

Im theoretischen Teil wird die vielfältige Verwobenheit der Menschenrechte mit dem Demokratieverständnis und der Ausgestaltung des Rechts auf politische Partizipation dargestellt. Der empirische Teil fokussiert sich auf die explorative Generierung von Expert_innenwissen von syrischen Demokratieaktivist_innen in Bezug auf politische Partizipation in Deutschland sowie das damit einhergehende Demokratieverständnis. Als Erhebungsinstrument wurde das leitfadengestützte Expert_inneninterview genutzt und als Auswertungsmethode die Grounded Theory nach Strauß & Corbin. Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Zusammenhang von Menschenrechten, Demokratie und dem Recht auf Teilnahme an der Gesellschaft. Experten und Expertinnen wurden gefragt, was das Recht auf Teilnahme an der Gesellschaft und was Demokratie bedeute. Das Interview wurde mit vorbereiteten Fragen geführt und die Antworten mit der Grounded Theory untersucht. Im Ergebnis wird festgestellt: Die Teilnahme an der Gesellschaft ist für alle Menschen wichtig. Jeder Mensch möchte mitbestimmen. Es stellt sich die Frage, wie dies umzusetzen und was von Geflüchteten aus Syrien zu lernen ist.

The theoretical part depicts the diverse interdependencies of human rights with the understanding of democracy and the design of the right to political participation. The empirical part focuses on the exploratory generation of expert knowledge from Syrian democracy activists with regard to political participation in Germany and the associated understanding of democracy. The guideline-based expert interview was used as a survey instrument and the grounded theory according to Strauss & Corbin as an evaluation method. The thesis deals with the relationship between human rights, democracy, and the right to participate in society. Experts were asked to define the right to participate in society and their understanding of democracy. The interview was conducted with prepared questions and the answers examined using grounded theory. The result: participation in society is important for everyone and everyone wants to have a say. The question arises as to how this can be implemented and what can be learned from Syria.
