La crítica de la vida cotidiana de Henri Lefebvre: importancia y vigencia para la sociología contemporánea

Abstract

Este artículo reflexiona sobre el estudio de la vida cotidiana en la obra de Henri Lefeb-vre; analiza la importancia que este autor da a la cotidianidad para comprender los proce-sos sociales e históricos que dieron forma a la modernidad y destaca la relevancia que da a la literatura para el análisis sociológico y la rela-ción entre ciudad, revolución y vida cotidiana, así como la vigencia de sus propuestas. Se sub-rayan los principales rasgos que Lefebvre otorga a la cotidianidad y se hace una crítica sobre sus reflexiones. Se concluye que la vida cotidiana es un centro neurálgico de las principales tesis de Henri Lefebvre.

This article reflects on the study of everyday life in the work of Henri Lefebvre. It analyzes the importance he gives to everydayness to under-stand the social and historical processes that shaped modernity and how his work the im-portance he accords to literature for sociological analysis. It emphasizes the relationship between city, revolution, literature and everyday life, as well as the validity, or lack thereof, of his pro-posals. It highlights the main features that he gives to everydayness and critiques his reflec-tions. It concludes that everyday life is the focal point of Lefebvre’s main argument.
