The objective of the project Good Guidance Stories (GUIDE) is to contribute to the professionalisation of vocational counselling and guidance for individuals in scholastic and professional transition situations. Case studies from six European countries describe essential competences for vocational counsellors. The authors furthermore offer an introduction into the methodology of the case studies, which can be used by counsellors in various different ways: for reflection on their own work and for the exchange of experiences. Six countries were involved in the project as part of the EU programme for Lifelong Learning: Germany, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Austria, Spain and Hungary. Ziel des Projekts Good Guidance Stories (GUIDE) ist ein Beitrag zur Professionalisierung der Bildungsberatung für Menschen in schulischen und beruflichen Übergangssituationen. Anhand von Fallstudien aus sechs europäischen Ländern werden unabdingbare Kompetenzen von Bildungsberatern beschrieben. Darüber hinaus führen die Autoren in die Methodik der Fallstudien ein, die von Beratenden vielseitig genutzt werden können: zur Reflexion der eigenen Arbeit und zum Austausch von Erfahrungen.
