En el contexto de un sistema político en el que la democracia atraviesa por una crisis de representación y por un proceso de despolitización, coexisten experiencias de los pueblos indígenas en México que muestran, desde la resistencia, otras formas de pensar la vida comunitaria. Por medio de un estudio teórico se analiza la relación de la dimensión de lo político de la democracia con la comunalidad. Se discute la noción de poder solidario, derivado de la autoridad comunal indígena, como propuesta central de un concepto de poder no jerárquico, pero mandatorio y colectivo. La interrelación de diferentes epistemologías contribuye a un avance necesario de la teoría de la democracia y la democracia radical, y enfatiza, asimismo la necesidad de diálogos teóricos interculturales sobre la comunidad y lo político.... view less

In the context of a political system in which democracy is undergoing a process of crisis of representation and depoliticization, coexisting experiences of indigenous communities in resistance offer different ways of understanding communal life in Mexico. By means of a theoretical study this paper analyzes the relationship between the political of democracy and communality. It discusses the notion of solidary power, derived from indigenous communal authority, as a central idea of a concept of non-hierarchical but mandatory and collective power. The relationship between different epistemologies contributes to a necessary advancement of the theory of democracy and radical democracy and emphasizes the need for theoretical intercultural dialogues on community and the political.... view less
