Dokumentarische Längsschnittforschung: Orientierungen von Schüler*innen exklusiver Schulen in der Spannung von Kontinuität und Transformation

Abstract

Anhand zweier Forschungsprojekte werden im vorliegenden Beitrag projektübergreifend Erträge Dokumentarischer Längsschnittstudien am Beispiel der Elitebildungsforschung herausgearbeitet und diskutiert. Im Zentrum steht eine Analyse von schul- und bildungsbezogenen sowie profilbezogenen Orientierungen von Schüler*innen im exklusiv gymnasialen Feld über mehrere Erhebungswellen in der Spannung von Transformation und Kontinuität. Neben einem knappen Überblick über empirische Studien zum Thema habituelle Veränderungen in der Längsschnittforschung werden zentrale theoretische Hintergrundannahmen und Begrifflichkeiten Dokumentarischer Längsschnittforschung aufgezeigt. Diese bilden die Grundlage für die Darstellung dreier empirischer Falldarstellungen, anhand derer wir exemplarisch das Spektrum unterschiedlicher Varianten von Kontinuität und Transformation nachzeichnen.

The paper highlights the results of two education research projects concerning longitudinal documentary method studies about elite education. It analyses education and profile based orientations of students in the field of exclusive secondary education in the tension of continuity and transformation. After providing a short overview of the state of research on habitual changes in longitudinal studies we present our theoretical framework on the topic of documentary longitudinal research. This forms the basis for presenting the empirical data of three case studies illustrating the spectrum of varieties regarding continuity and transformation.
