In ethnografischen Protokollen werden Beobachtungen, persönliche Eindrücke und individuelle Erlebnisse geschildert, um möglichst nah an das jeweils interessierende Geschehen heranzuführen und es nachvollziehbar zu machen (BREIDENSTEIN 2012). Ethnografische Protokolle sollen die Leser/innen in die Lage versetzen, mit ihrer "eigenen Aufmerksamkeit jene Aufmerksamkeiten zu verfolgen, die die untersuchten Kulturmitglieder im kompetenten Gebrauch der Bezeichnungen für sich und für einander organisieren" (MAEDER & BROSZIEWSKI 1997, S.340). Mein Anliegen ist es, die Möglichkeiten der sprachlich-stilistischen Ausgestaltung ethnografischer Protokolle auszuloten, mit deren Hilfe sich das im Rahmen der Feldforschung Beobachtete, Gehörte, Erlebte, Empfundene und/oder Wahrgenommene schriftsprachlich fixieren und adäquat zum Ausdruck bringen lässt. In diesem Zusammenhang werden wesentliche Stilmittel (z.B. Formen der Redewiedergabe und Stimmenvielfalt, die Verwendung bildhafter Sprache, stilistische Wechselspiele oder Verbalisierungen des Verstehens) zusammengetragen und deren Einsatz an ethnologisch-anthropologischen und soziologischen Textbeispielen erläutert.... view less

In ethnographic recordings, observations, personal impressions, and individual experiences are described to introduce and to enable readers to comprehend significant occurrences and aspects of a studied culture. In this article I explore the possibilities of linguistic and stylistic composition in ethnographic recordings in order to express adequately and precisely what was observed, listened to, experienced and/or perceived within the framework of field research. For this purpose, I present essential stylistic devices (e. g., forms of speech reproduction and multiplicity of voices, metaphorical language, or stylistic interplays), and exemplify their use in ethnological and sociological text examples.... view less
