Die Politikfeldanalyse nutzt zur Untersuchung langfristigen Wandels vor allem Modelle des historischen Institutionalismus. Zunehmend finden sich auch Ansätze, die auf Evolutionstheorien basieren. In diesen Beiträgen werden Politikfelder gelegentlich als jung oder alt bezeichnet. Der Aufsatz schlägt vor, den Wandel von Politikfeldern explizit als Reifeprozess zu konzeptualisieren. Er zeigt, dass diese "Ausreifungstheorie" in der Literatur implizit bereits anzutreffen ist. In order to research long-term change common policy analysis mainly uses models of Historical Institutionalism. Increasingly there are also approaches to be found which base on evolutionary theories. In these inputs policy subsystems occasionally are described as young or old. This article recommends to conceptualize change of policies explicitly as maturing transformation. It shows that a "theory of maturing policy subsystems" already is found implicitly in academic literature. At least four indicators can be deduced from literature to indicate the progression.... view less
