Nihilism is one of the main themes of the later writings of Nietzsche. The philosopher saw symptoms of a nihilistic view of the world in culture, politics, art, religion and morality of the nineteenth century. Nietzsche uses two "methods" of interpretation of this phenomenon, the genealogy and physiology.
