En el artículo se revisan los procesos de regionalización económica que tienen lugar en el continente asiático, así como sus características particulares, y se confronta la idea occidental que existe sobre los regionalismos y la necesidad de contextualizar su análisis cuando se trata de culturas no occidentales, como es el caso de las sociedades asiáticas.
