El artículo critica la teoría del derecho que defiende el "monismo jurídico", esto es, la unicidad, hegemonía y operatividad exclusiva del sistema jurídico en el Estado moderno. En vez de esto, el autor hace hincapié en la existencia de lo que se denomina "pluralismo jurídico": la coexistencia en un mismo espacio social de numerosos sistemas normativos. The arricie criticizes the legal theory that defends "juridical monism", i.e., the uniqueness, he- gemonoy and exclusive operation of the juridical system in the modem State. Instead, the author points out the existence of what is known as "juridical pluralism": the coexistence of numerous normative Systems within the same social sphere.
