%X The article examines the compilation of essays 'Der russische Realismus in der Weltliteratur' (1946, 1951) with the purpose of analyze some central topics: the methodological bases of a marxist literary criticism, the discussion on the social and human function of literature, the relation between literature and social life, the fundamental principles of the Marxist pedagogy and ethics.
