Der Iran-Deal ist durch - Wie steht es eigentlich um die nukleare Abrüstung?

Abstract

Der Iran und die P5+1 erzielten am 14. Juli 2015 eine Einigung auf den Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action zur Beilegung des seit 13 Jahren währenden Disputs um das iranische Nuklearprogramm. Dieses Papier lenkt den Blick von der Non-Proliferation auf die nukleare Abrüstung und geht der Frage nach, ob in diesem Bereich ein ähnlicher Durchbruch gelungen ist und die Nuklearwaffenstaaten der Abrüstungsverpflichtung aus dem NPT nachgekommen sind.

Iran and the P5+1 reached agreement on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in Vienna on 14 July 2015 in an effort to solve the long-standing dispute over Iran’s nuclear program. This paper redirects attention to the topic of nuclear disarmament and raises the question whether similar progress has been achieved in this realm, too, and consequently explores whether the nuclear weapons states have been implementing the disarmament provisions of the NPT.
