Der Artikel untersucht die Hervorbringung biographischen Wissens durch methodische und thematische Settings. Welche Formen hegemonialen Wissens darin zu analysieren sind, wird am Beispiel eines Workshops "Familie, Beruf oder beides? - Biographische Arbeit zum eigenen Werdegang" gezeigt. Das pädagogische Setting macht hegemoniales biographisches Wissen einerseits reflexiv bearbeitbar, andererseits produziert es dieses auch erst. Die Analysen verweisen auf die Dominanz hegemonialer Vereinbarkeitsdiskurse in den biographischen Selbstpräsentationen der Teilnehmerinnen. Auch alternative Formen der In- Verhältnis-Setzung beziehen sich auf gesellschaftlich dominante Diskurse. Der Beitrag schließt mit einer Diskussion um das Analysepotential von pädagogischer Biographiearbeit als Ort der Produktion biographischen Wissens.... view less

In this article, the construction of biographical knowledge in methodical and thematic settings is analyzed. The workshop "Family, Job - or both? - Biographical work concerning one's own development" is used to reconstruct forms of hegemonic knowledge. The paedagogical setting works in two ways: it opens up the possibility to work with hegemonic biographical knowledge while producing it at the same time. In the analysis, the dominance of hegemonic discourses on worklife- balance in the biographical presentations of the participants can be reconstructed. Even alternative forms of relations between work and (family) life refer to dominant discourses in society. The article results in a discussion about the analytical potential of paedagogical biographical work as place of the production of biographical knowledge.... view less
