Streitgegenstand Psychotherapie - Save Our Modern Souls

Abstract

Die aktuelle Diskussion um die Neukonzeption der Psychotherapieausbildung im Zusammenhang mit der Novellierung des Psychotherapeutengesetzes aus dem Jahr 1998 wirft noch einmal die Frage nach dem Verhältnis von Psychotherapie, Psychotherapeutenschaft und politischen Entscheidungsprozessen auf. Machtstrukturen im Gesundheitswesen, rechtliche Rahmenbedingungen, differierende Interessenlagen und Therapieparadigmen in der Psychotherapeutenschaft und die Indifferenz der Administration gegenüber inhaltlichen Fragen von Psychotherapie lassen fachlich begründete und gemeinwohlorientierte Lösungen fraglich erscheinen.

The present debate about a new structure for education in psychotherapy related to the amendment of the psychotherapy act of 1998 rises once more questions concerning the relations between psychotherapy, the profession of psychotherapist and the process of political decision. Structures of power in the area of public health, juridical frame conditions, differing interests and paradigms of psychotherapy within the profession and the indifference of the political administration in relation to questions of content in psychotherapy raise doubt in solutions of professional standard and common weal.
