The concept of "Buen Vivir" (living well) and social work

Abstract

This article will shortly discuss four main challenges that the concept and social movement of Buen Vivir (or Living Well) from Andean indigenous communities represents for social work and the current constants of the social work profession. These are the idea of development and the outcome approach, the idea of what a good life means, ethical individualism and anthropocentrism.
