Methods: Cross-sectional study with 178 patients from a dialysis center in the northeast of Brazil. Results: Three adaptive problems were identified, two of the self-concept: sexual dysfunction and low self-esteem; and one of the paper performance mode: paper failure. CONCLUSIONS: Adaptive flaws in the role, sexual dysfunction and low self-esteem refer to the presence of a conical disease and an invasive treatment, since these conditions directly affect the individual's lifestyle. %C MISC %G en %9 Zeitschriftenartikel %W GESIS - http://www.gesis.org %~ SSOAR - http://www.ssoar.info
