Objective: To analyze the perceptions of nurses about the ad CAPS assist users of alcohol and other drugs. Method: exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, applied along the 03 nurses who should be acting in CAPS ad for at least six months. For data collection, we used semi-structured interviews, and the analysis made by the technique of qualitative analysis where this was approved by the Ethics Committee of the University Hospital Alcides Carneiro, CAAE nº 0513.0.133.000-11. Results: Professionals realize advances in care, but highlight the need for improvements related to professional training and service structure. Also indicate that the implementation of CAPS ad III, improve the care provided. Conclusion: This study was based on a call for new thinking, proposals and attitudes of nurses working in mental health services focused attention to the users of alcohol and other drugs.... weniger
