Mikrodaten-Tools: Umsetzung der Berufsklassifikation von Blossfeld auf die Mikrozensen 1973-1998

Abstract

"In diesem Bericht wird gezeigt, wie die von Blossfeld auf Basis der Volkszählung 1970 konstruierte Berufsklassifikation auf die Mikrozensen von 1973 bis 1998 umgesetzt werden kann. Für eine erste Überprüfung der Homogenität der in der Berufsklassifikation gebildeten Berufsgruppen werden unter Verwendung des Mikrozensus 1996 Zusammenhänge mit weiteren Variablen zur beruflichen Situation untersucht. Der Anhang enthält neben den einzelnen SPSS-Programmen zur Rekodierung der Berufsklassifikation eine Vergleichsübersicht der beiden Fassungen der amtlichen Klassifikation der Berufe von 1975 sowie 1992 und der Berufsklassifikation." "This report describes how Blossfeld's occupational classification which had been constructed on the basis of the 1970 census can be applied to the microcensus files 1973 to 1998. Using the microcensus 1996 we analyze the associations between Blossfeld's classification and further variables on the occupational situation. Thereby, we intend to investigate the homogeneity of the occupational groups based on the Blossfeld scheme. The appendix of the report contains the SPSS programs we developed for recoding the occupational classification. Moreover, comparisons of the German Classification of Occupations, editions 1975 and 1992, with Blossfeld's occupational classification are included." (author's abstract)
