Who participates why, how often and for how long in continuous professional development courses and who does not? Which continuous professional development provisions are popular? Which is the structure of the target group of the "educational consumers"? For the German edition of the Adult Education Survey (AES) trained interviewers questioned more than 7,000 participants regarding their participation in continuous professional development between April 2009 and June 2010? This publication analyses and comments on the data collected regarding the continuous professional development participation and the structure of the continuous professional development market. Further topics are motifs, costs and benefits of continuous professional development courses and the question about different kinds of learning for adults. All in all the continuous professional development activities reported provide a comprehensive picture of the continuous professional development within Germany.... view less

Wer nimmt warum, wie oft und wie lang an Weiterbildung teil und wer nicht? Welche Weiterbildungsangebote sind gefragt? Wie ist die Zielgruppe der "Bildungskonsumenten" strukturiert? Für die deutsche Ausgabe des Adult Education Survey (AES) wurden zwischen April 2009 und Juni 2010 über 7.000 Personen von geschulten Interviewern über ihre Weiterbildungsteilnahme befragt. Der Band analysiert und kommentiert diese erhobenen Daten zum Weiterbildungsverhalten und zur Struktur des Weiterbildungsmarktes. Weitere Themen sind Motive, Kosten und Nutzen der Weiterbildung und die Frage nach den verschiedenen Formen des Lernens Erwachsener.
