O artigo apresenta um desenredar do conceito de hibridização cultural e sua relação intersticial com a mídia, sobretudo em um contexto de nação, no caso, o Brasil. This article unravels the concept of cultural hybridization and its interstitial relation to the media, especially in a national context, in this case, Brazil. However, as we understand the semantic, social and historical complexity and coverage of the terms culture and hybridism (perhaps cultural hybridism), we propose to present the meanings of this terms, providing a view which reports to the central idea of this meanings within the perspective of colonial studies imbued with the communication theories to unravel the participation of the media as a constituent of this social reality as what anchors the built of cultural hybridism.... view less
