Stellungnahme zum Thema Situation der Geistes-, Sozial- und Kulturwissenschaften in Deutschland

Abstract

The situation of the humanities and social and natural sciences in Germany is materially and structurally good in a European comparison (especially in comparison with Britain and France). The relationship between university and non-university research has some significant problems resulting from the restructuring of the universities. What is needed is agreement about the foundations and goals of the GSK, about the forms and support instruments in which and with which the goals can be pursued, and about how they can be reliably secured over the middle and long term.
