Relatos metodológicos: difractando experiencias narrativas de investigación

Abstract

Si bien la investigación narrativa está ampliamente establecida en ciencias sociales, su práctica concreta presenta distintas variaciones en función de perspectivas teóricas y epistemológicas. Como una forma de analizar diversas experiencias en la práctica de la investigación narrativa, este artículo analiza seis narrativas de investigadoras respecto a su aproximación y uso de metodologías y técnicas asociadas a lo narrativo. A partir de un primer análisis narrativo, el artículo da cuenta de los resultados mediante dos textos. El primero se centra en los aspectos teóricos, metodológicos y técnicos de la investigación narrativa, mientras que el segundo se enfoca en los aspectos éticos y políticos de la experiencia de las participantes respecto al uso de narrativas para la investigación. Los textos permiten abordar reflexivamente la implantación de distintas formas de investigación narrativa a partir de considerar los posibles presupuestos teórico-epistemológicos en los que se sitúa su implantación concreta.

Despite narrative inquiry being widely established in the social sciences, it is practiced in diverse ways, depending on the theoretical and epistemological stances of researchers. In this article we analyze six narratives of investigators recounting their narrative research experiences as a way to incorporate diversity within this field of inquiry. From a narrative analysis perspective, we explain our results through two different texts. The first tackles theoretical, methodological, and technical issues of narrative inquiry, while the second focuses on ethical and political aspects of the researcher's narrative experiences. These texts allow us to construct a reflexive approach to the implementation of different forms of narrative inquiry, considering their theoretical and epistemological premises of its practice. Obwohl narrative Methoden in den Sozialwissenschaften mittlerweile breit genutzt werden, hängt die Art und Weise ihrer Verwendung von den theoretischen und epistemologischen Positionen der Forschenden ab. In diesem Beitrag analysieren wir die Erzählungen von sechs Wissenschaftler/innen über deren Erfahrungen in narrativen Forschungsprojekten. Unsere Ergebnisse erläutern wir anhand von zwei Texten: Der erste behandelt theoretische, methodologische und technische Aspekte narrativer Forschung, der zweite beschäftigt sich mit ethischen und politischen Konsequenzen, die aus dieser Arbeit erwachsen. Mittels dieser Texte konstruieren wir einen reflexiven Zugang zu verschiedenen Spielarten narrativer Forschung unter Beachtung von theoretischen und epistemologischen Prämissen für die Forschungspraxis.
