It has also been applied in the intercultural learning settings. However, most of the established approaches, which are shaped by their psychological views, are developed in a culture-free paradigm. That is the reason why cultural specificity is insufficiently considered as an influencing factor concerning the learning behavior. Therefore, the implementation of classical approaches of learning styles within the intercultural context is stretched to its limits. Thus, this study aims to address the question to what extent learning styles could be conceptualized based on the cultural specificity. By examining a German and Chinese study group, it is discussed in what way their learning behavior differs from each other and if it can be conceptualized in a culture-specific way.... view less
