Qualifizierung von Kursleitenden im Rahmen der Integrationskurse des Bundesamtes für Migration und Flüchtlinge: Konzeption und Umsetzung

Abstract

Der Beitrag von Bettina Strewe kontrastiert die vorangegangenen Fragestellungen aus der Vermittlung interkultureller Kompetenzen und interkulturellen Wissens im Bereich der Hochschuldidaktik mit der Vermittlung interkultureller Kompetenzen im Rahmen der obligatorischen Integrationskurse für Migranten in Deutschland, die das Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BaMF) mit dem neuen Zuwanderungsgesetz 2004 eingeführt hat.

Part of the German migration law is the implementation of so called integration courses for migrants as well as an additional qualification for the professors in charge of these integration courses. Besides on the knowledge of the German language the courses focus on the integration into the German society as an important aspect. The program underlines intercultural competence for the migrants as a significant goal to be achieved in the integration course. This article discusses the concept and the goals of the program and shows some aspects of its realization coming to the conclusion that on the whole the program has to be acknowledged as a first step in the right direction; however some improve-ments could help to make the program still more efficient as it is in the moment.
