(Autorenreferat)... view less

"Based on a survey of scientists and engineers, an empirical analysis of the relationships
between facets of job satisfaction and job characteristics, organizational commitment and
the intention to quit is conducted. The general framework refers to well known findings of
the turnover literature. For better interpretation the theoretical model is related to a general
framework of turnover, developed by Semmer & Baillod (1993). A path analysis verifies
basic assumptions of the general framework, but points out differences between the present
study and results of comparable studies as well. The results are discussed and interpreted
with special emphasis on sample problems." (author's abstract)... view less
