"The contribution analyzes the cross-border diffusion of the radical protest method of open field destruction, i.e., the destruction of fields cultivated with Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) coram publico. The open field destruction represents the most radical and confrontative method in anti-GMO movement's repertoire of action. Open field destructions were a key method of the French anti-GMO movement, which, in turn, was of crucial importance for the reform of French biotechnology policy. It will be analyzed, how this method has been adopted by anti-GMO activists in Spain and Germany, in order to shed light on the limited importance of national boundaries for protest movements."
