%X The aim of this article is the analysis of the impact of international labour migrations on the sphere of human rights of international economic migrants. International economic movements are factor determining the socio-economic situation of immigrants, which directly influence several categories of human rights risks. Public international law documents, established in recent decades, contributed to the increased autonomy of migrant workers and the members of their families as a distinct category of foreigners and people protected by the specific international human rights documents of regional and universal character (e.g. the UN, COE, EU, OAS, and ASEAN provisions concerning protection and assistance of migrant workers and the members of their families). The extended catalogue of contemporary economic migrants, as well as the conflicts of interests between sending and receiving countries, causes that the effectivity of implementation of the established public international law provisions remains very low. The article in detailed manner analysed the most common problems experienced by migrant workers, before, during and after migration process. The distinct part of this article draws attention to the most important social policy challenges of countries sending and receiving migrant workers.
