(Autorenreferat)... weniger

"This article is concerned with the introduction of group work. Introduction is defined as the process of negotiating between different actors in a company, i.e. affected employees and managers, the works council and the manager in charge of the change process, who commonly construct a new organisational reality. This process is the focus of a research project which uses criteria of procedural justice from the American justice-in-organisations research and for the first time introduces it to organisational change processes and in the context of German industrial relations. We investigate effects of the fulfilment of these criteria on the outcome of the introduction process. Special attention is given to the role of the works council as an actor in this process, particularly as a communicative moderator. The project was conducted in 21 companies in the metal industry and with 836 interviewees." (author's abstract)... weniger
