Der demographische Wandel und seine Auswirkungen auf wirtschaftliche und soziale Einrichtungen in Oberfranken

Abstract

In diesem Beitrag werden mögliche Auswirkungen des demographischen Wandels auf wirtschaftliche und soziale Einrichtungen, auf den Handels- und Dienstleistungssektor sowie den Gesundheitssektor am Beispiel Oberfrankens diskutiert. Anschließend werden einige Strategien zur Regelung dieser Probleme aufgezeigt. Oberfranken gehört zum Typus schrumpfender Räume. Der Rückgang der Bevölkerung und eine zunehmende Alterung der Bevölkerung können zu Tragfähigkeitsproblemen im Infrastrukturbereich führen. Im Hinblick auf den Handel würde es zu verstärkter Konzentration und zunehmender Filialisierung kommen. Darüber hinaus ist von einer Ausdünnung des Filialnetzes von Banken und Sparkassen auszugehen. In Bezug auf den Gesundheitssektor ist in Gebieten mit überdurchschnittlich vielen alten Menschen und geringer Mobilität mit einer Unterversorgung zu rechnen. Um diesen Auswirkungen entgegenzuwirken, bedarf es der Sicherung und Weiterentwicklung der öffentlichen Daseinsvorsorge, sowie eines Umdenkens der betroffenen Regionen, welche ihre Planungsansätze speziell auf Bevölkerungsrückgang und Alterung orientieren sollten.

This paper describes possible impacts of demographic change on the structure of business and social units, on the retail and services sector, and on the healthcare sector, taking Upper Franconia as a case in point.
