"Die vorliegende Untersuchung beschäftigt sich mit der gemeinsamen Zeitverwendung in Partnerschaften. Es werden Paartypen nach unterschiedlichen Merkmalen wie Alter, Erwerbstätigkeit und nach dem Vorhandensein von Kindern differenziert. Die Datengrundlage bildet die Zeitbudgeterhebung 2001/2002 des Statistischen Bundesamtes. Es liegen rund 19.700 Tagebücher von Paaren zur Analyse vor. Als zentrales Ergebnis kann festgehalten werden, dass an Werktagen insbesondere die Anzahl erwerbstätiger Partner in der Beziehung die entscheidende Determinante der gemeinsamen Zeitverwendung darstellt. An den Wochenenden zeigen sich dagegen häufig sehr ähnliche Zeitverwendungsmuster zwischen den Paartypen." (Autorenreferat)... view less

"In the study presented here, the author's deal with joint time use in couples. They differentiate couples by several criteria like age, employment status, and whether they have children or not. The study is based on data established in the Time Use Survey of 2001-2002 of the Federal Statistical Office consisting of 19.700 diaries of couples. As a central finding, the author's conclude that, on weekdays, particularly the number of working partners constitutes the decisive determinant of joint time use in relationships.
