Biographie und Profession in sozialarbeiterischen, rechtspflegerischen und künstlerischen Arbeitsfeldern

Abstract

"Im folgenden unternimmt der Autor den Versuch, anhand von drei unterschiedlichen Professionsgruppen die Besonderheiten im beruflichen Handeln aber auch mögliche analoge Kernprobleme, Paradoxien und Widersprüche vor dem Hintergrund des Zusammenspiels von biographischer Entwicklung und institutionell arrangierten Bildungsprozessen exemplarisch zu bestimmen. Vorangestellt wird jeweils eine allgemeine Funktionsbestimmung der in ihrer disziplinären und professionellen Struktur unterschiedlichen Handlungsfelder der Sozialen Arbeit, des Rechtswesens und der bildenden Kunst. Die disziplinären Orientierungsbezüge und beruflichen Handlungsfelder haben sich in allen drei Bereichen vielfältig, wenn auch in einem je eigenen Verhältnis der Bewahrung von Traditionsbeständen sowie Innovationsschüben und -erfordernissen ausdifferenziert. Während die Juristen, neben den Ärzten als klassische traditionsbewusste Paradeprofession gelten und auch dem Künstler noch ein prominenter, zwischen Charisma und Stigma schwankender professioneller Status für die sinnliche Erkenntnisgenerierung zuerkannt wird, bleiben die Diagnosen über den disziplinären Bezug und den Professionalisierungsgrad, ja die Funktionsbestimmung der Sozialen Arbeit nach wie vor strittig." "In the following the author makes an attempt to determine – with reference to three different profession groups – the peculiarities of professional action but also possible central problems, paradoxes and contradictions against the background of the interaction of biographical development and institutionally arranged processes of education. First of all there is a general functional determination of the respective fields of action of social work, law and art, which differ in their disciplinary and professional structure. In all three areas the disciplinary relations of orientation and the professional fields of action have become subtly diversified however in a specific respective relation of keeping certain traditions on the one hand and innovation shoves and -requirements on the other. While the jurists (next to the doctors) are regarded as the classic tradition-conscious avant-garde profession and also the artist is granted a prominent professional status – alternating between charisma and stigma – for the sensual knowledge production, the diagnoses concerning the disciplinary reference and the status of professionalization or even the functional determination of social work are still in dispute."
