'Identity claims are 'in', ranging from uncommittal sociological constructivism to human rights lobbies. They are being used in the universal rights discourse as well as in organized lobbies of cultural identity claims. That makes for strange bedfellows when early zionists use the same figures of speech as do ethnocratic groups or feminist movements. The author predicts a social-Darwinistic selection process of the over-use of cultural identity claims reducing them to universally acceptable norms.' (author's abstract)|... view less
