Abstract

'Identitätsansprüche sind in der Mode. Sie sind als soziologischer Konstruktivismus noch unverbindlicher Diskurs, spätestens mit der Lobby der Menschenrechte werden sie zur politischen Organisation. Dabei erhalten die universellen Menschenrechtsforderungen merkwürdige Bettgenossen immer dann, wenn ethnische und kulturelle Identitätsansprüche Definitionsansprüche mit Herrschaftsmacht erreichten. Beispiele hierfür finden sich von der Vorgeschichte des Zionismus, bei ethnozentrischem Genozid bis zu feministischen Lobbygruppen. Der Autor prognostiziert einen sozial-darwinistischen Selektionsprozeß, demgemäß die Überproduktion von kulturellen Identitätsansprüchen auf universell akzeptable Normen reduziert wird.' 'Identity claims are 'in', ranging from uncommittal sociological constructivism to human rights lobbies. They are being used in the universal rights discourse as well as in organized lobbies of cultural identity claims. That makes for strange bedfellows when early zionists use the same figures of speech as do ethnocratic groups or feminist movements. The author predicts a social-Darwinistic selection process of the over-use of cultural identity claims reducing them to universally acceptable norms.' (author's abstract)|
